La Vida en Oaxaca
The free and sovereign state of Oaxaca is one of 31 states of Mexico and is located in the southern
part of the country where the Eastern Sierra Madre and the Southern Sierra Madre mountain ranges
converge. Oaxaca has a rugged mountainous terrain with a large temperate central valley and an
average altitude of 5,085 feet above sea level.

Since the beginning of civilization, bronze has been used to immortalize the beauty of the human form. Using the traditional "lost wax" method, first perfected by the Greeks in 550 BCE, resident artist Armand Gilanyi masterfully creates both figurative and abstract sculptures that resonate with the timeless beauty of bronze.
